Evaluation of Chevrolet Corvette

        Corvette is designed by the car brand named Chevrolet which known as Chevy. American Corporation of General Motors owned the Chevy division and worldwide the Chevy’s car are being sold. Since 1911, Chevy made a different types of car, like compact cars, sports car, and trucks. The Chevy Corvette 2015 is a great sport car in the world and also cost efficient. Chevy improved the Corvette by giving it a new look and style, and added few feature according technologies. The three more important categories for a sports car are exterior, interior and safety for drivers which gives an idea to buyers how much they have to pay. The Chevrolet Corvette will be evaluated on based of its cost, interior and exterior design, performance, and safety.

        Chevrolet Corvette is the best sports car in the car market for its performance. The base price of Chevrolet Corvette is $55,995. In comparison of other company’s car, the cost of Chevy Corvette is half of their price. For example, the price of Porches 911 is $84,300, and the price of Audi R8’s is $115,000. The cost of sports car is higher than sedan or coupe, because as speed increases price increases. The most attractive thing about any car is its design. The Corvette has given a dapper look grew into malaise era styling and smog regulation. They are designed the head light which looks like an original stingray. Chevy made some changes in new model of Corvette. They made it longer, decrease the height of the car, and shorten rear end which made the whole car in proportion. The smooth and sharp curve provide fascinating design. The structure of car is made of aluminum frame. The hood and top roof is made of carbon which they never used before in Corvette. Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter said to the interviewer of the Hot Rod Network, “This car is a paradigm-breaker for composite. It’s all part of the technology walk-down.” The interior of this car which is fabulous has so many choices that makes drivers feel like in cockpit. The seats of the car are fully covered with the leather, and they have a heating and cooling system. The dashboard of the car is made of soft-touch with different colors to choose. Chevy put nine Bose speakers for sound system, rear view camera, auto dimming mirror system, two 8 inches LED display, and push button to start car that make this model better than previous model.  

        Corvette is carrying 6.2 liter V-8 engine under its hood. The maximum power produced by an engine is 455 horsepower at 6000 rotation per minute. The exhaust system provides roaring sound to boost the engine to 460 horsepower. The V-8 engine is a direct fuel injection with an average of 17 mph in city and 27 mph on highway. The Chevy has two models of Corvette: manual transmission and automatic transmission. The manual transmission puts outs 21mpg and 22 mpg combined with automatic transmission. The seven-speed manual transmission is used with six-speed automatic transmission that comes with the paddle shifters. The new transmission gives the highest seventh gear ratio to be better and impressive fuel economy. The Corvette is also compatible with automatic transmission system, which makes the gear changing very easy and driving smooth. Corvette chief engineer mentioned in the Automobile Magazine that the acceleration time for Corvette is 0 to 60 mph came out in 3.0 seconds for eight-speed automatic transmission. Chevy’s Corvette is a great sport car for reviewers and buyers, because it is the only one sport car people can easily afford.
