Event or an Event Held by the Students

There are number of factors that contribute to the success of an event, whether it is a company event or an event held by the students. It is not only the quality of the physical resources or the technology that counts, but the people and their skills also make the difference (Wan, 2008). For example, a person decides to introduce an event, but he or she does not has the skill on how to organize the event, then it would be good if the person could recruit and select some people who may have skills in organizing event. If the person decides not to recruit any people and decides to organize the event by himself, then the event would not be organized successfully. The main purpose of this reflection paper is actually about a group project called Amazing Race Event whereby it requires a number of participants as well as several volunteers to help in making the event. Therefore, this reflection paper would firstly demonstrate how the group members recruit and select the volunteers and the participants for this project, and also examine some of the challenges that the group members found during the recruitment and selection of people. Furthermore, the reflection paper will also show how the group members address the challenges.

To organize this Amazing Race, it is required for the group members to recruits and select several volunteers and most importantly, the participants. For recruitment of participants and volunteers for the event, the group members come up with an advertisement whereby the advertisement would tell the people about the event, such as the date, time and meeting point of the event. In addition, the advertisement also showed the contact numbers of the group members so that whenever people are interested to join in this event, they could tell the group members through telephone or sms.
