TOPIC : Conscious Dreaming

GENERAL PURPOSE : TO INFORM

SPECIFIC PURPOSE: To inform my audience about lucid dreams

CENTRAL IDEA: Lots of people do not know about what lucid dream is about, techniques in acquiring lucidity and the positive effects lucidity

I. Introduction

A. 4 out of 10 people report have experienced at least once in their life time in lucid dreaming.

B. It is one of the best feelings in the world.

C. Having experienced lucid dream myself, I would like to tell you what lucid dream is about and what you can gain from it.

D. The study shows the statistics of people having lucid dream naturally.

E. With proper practice, everyone can achieve lucidity.

II. Body

A. Before you can actually achieve lucidity, you need to know and understand lucid dream first.

1. Lucid dream is happen when one is dreaming and while in the dream one have fully aware that he/she is dreaming.

i. Dream are likely to occur in REM sleep

a. The most active session in sleep

b. Can lasts 3 minutes to an hour

ii. Some people mistook of false awakening as lucid dreaming.

a. False awakening is when one thought he/she have awake but in fact still sleeping.

b. In some cases, one has to wake up about 3 times before he/she really is awake from sleep.

Transition: Now that you know what lucid dream is, let’s begin our exploratory in techniques acquiring lucidity.

B. Lucid dreaming need not to be gifted to experienced it. Unlike any other it can be acquire through a proper techniques and training.

1. Keep a dream journal and develop a habit

i. Use a diary to record your dream.

a. Every time you wake up from sleep take time to remember and recall what you dream of.

b. Later on you will notice your dream will have a unique sign and recurring in every single dream.
