Thesis statement:

Mobile learning, known as M- learning, is emerging as one of the solutions for the current educational challenges. Mobile learning that includes devices like mobile, tablets, and iPod provide means of individualised learning through searching internet in the devices. It has created an opportunity to learn both inside and outside the classroom.

Kukulska-Hulme, Agnes. "Mobile Learning As A Catalyst For Change." Open Learning 25.3 (2010): 181-185. Academic Search Complete. Web. 12 Oct. 2016.

In this article, the writer explains the advantages of use of mobile devices for learning by students inside or outside the classroom. Kukulska-Hulme  focuses on ''learning rather than teaching'' (181) . The easy accessibility of mobile devices has helped the learners to search necessary information anytime and anywhere. I have chosen this article for all the examples writer has provided in terms of mobile learning benefits. A research done by the writer shows how students were able to work on their studies from various locations and were able to help one another to solve problems. In addition, a single mobile device provides consistency whereas range of devices can be beneficial for the learners to complete multiple tasks depending on their choices. I also agree with Kukulska-Hulme 's argument that mobile devices are not necessarily used to ''replace existing technologies''(184) like desktop computer, pen and paper, and printed books. Mobile devices can provide additional information if utilised with above mentioned previous technologies.

Fuegen, Shauna'h. "The Impact Of Mobile Technologies On Distance Education." Techtrends: Linking Research & Practice To Improve Learning 56.6 (2012): 49-53. Academic Search Complete. Web. 13 Oct. 2016.

The reason of choosing this article is to broaden the idea of using mobile devices for the purpose of distance learning. Fuegen has explained the benefits of mobile learning in terms of saving time and travel, which is one of my important topic points. I got an opportunity to learn about ''Transactional distance theory'' (50) that is basically physical and psychological distance between student and teacher. According to Fuegen, mobile devices are one of the solutions to overcome this problem. I think it will be interesting to include this theory to explain the benefits of mobile devices in distance learning. Even though there are some limitations of mobile learning mentioned in the article such as size, weight, battery, and software, the portability and programmes have shadowed them.
