PE3 Final Report
Time really flies, it is now already the end of my third year. Again thanks to university and my teachers I had a very happy semester. I have to admit that when I was in high school or before it, I used to think that physical education is very painful and meaningless because, my teacher Always ask us to run 1.5 kilometers before we can enjoy the games we like. In addition to that, I used to think that PE is not funny at all, just to fulfill some school policy. However, one thing I have to admit is that physical activities make me feel happy after the game with friends especially when I am playing well in the game. For three years I have enjoyed the GIGA PE, each year I meet new people from all around the world, I have to say playing sports is the fastest way to make new friends and usually this relationship lasts longer than just know someone in the same class. One thing I also feel different is that GIGA PE makes sports interesting, less intensive. I like this because personally I think if at the beginning while I am not familiar with the new sport, I don’t know the rules, I may not perform well in the game, so lack of confidence, eventually makes things worse. However, on the other hand, GIGA PE at the beginning it is very funny, the professor give us instructions about the sports and later we can practice freely and enjoy game with friends, no one would blame the others when lose the ball.
I found that there are lots of good reasons to get involved in physical activities. As I mentioned above, First playing sports improve my mood. Whether I am playing sports, working out at a gym, or taking a brisk walk, physical activity triggers brain chemicals that make I feel happier and more relaxed. GIGA PE is full of team sports, in particular provide a chance to unwind and engage in a satisfying challenge that improves my fitness. They also provide social benefits by allowing me to connect with teammates and friends in a recreational setting. Second, sports reduce stress and depression. When I am physically active, my mind is distracted from daily stressors. This can help me avoid getting bogged down by negative thoughts. Exercise reduces the levels of stress hormones in the body. At the same time, it stimulates production of endorphins. These are natural mood lifters that can keep stress and depression at bay. Endorphins may even leave me feeling more relaxed and optimistic after a hard workout. Some experts agree that more quality research is needed to determine the relationship between sports and depression. Talking about this, I think Japanese salaryman should spend more spare time in physical activities to release their stress and depression which I think somehow can decrease the suicide rate. The third thing I found sports boost my self-confidence. The regular exercise that comes with playing sports can boost my confidence and improve my self-esteem. As my strengths , skills, and stamina increase through playing sports, my self-image will improve as well. With the renewed vigor and energy that comes from physical activity, I may be more likely to succeed in tasks off the playing field as well as on it. This is especially true when I go to participate an interview and succeed later, I think first I have to show my confidence first, doing sports help me developing this.
