Reaction Paper on Bretton Woods Agreement

The report on Bretton Woods Agreement tackles the history and timeline how the Bretton Woods agreement was formalized and what happened prior to Bretton Woods that would affect leaders of economies to have Bretton Woods Agreement.  Part of the report also is the changes that came to reality after the agreement was formalized.

The establishment of Bretton Woods agreement gave way to the two of the most powerful institutions in the world – the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.  Bretton Woods Agreement is a landmark system for monetary and exchange rate management that was established in 1944.  This aimed a stable international economic system that would allow economies to recover from war and then sustain growth in the decades ahead of its establishment.

Up to now, the products of this agreement are felt as International Monetary Fund and World Bank are still existing and carrying their mandate from that Bretton Woods agreement.
