For many years, the American dream is defined by Americans as being wealthy,
and ecstatic. Today Americans still have access to the American dream, which allows
Americans to have amazingly expensive houses, cars, and even have strong feelings for
a dream or hope. The American dream has shown to be one of the most important
aspects of being an American. The two main aspects of accessing the American dream
is being wealthy, and having hope. Those two main aspects are shown in the novel “The
Great Gatsby”, and they show that Americans completely live a ecstatic life with the
American dream.
The first aspect shown in the novel “The Great Gatsby” is wealth. Wealth can be
defined as being very rich or having a lot of money. Mr. Gatsby in the novel “The Great
Gatsby” showed a lot of wealth, which fulfilled his American dream. For example: Mr.
Gatsby’s house, cars, and parties. Mr. Gatsby had access to the American dream, which
