One will never find an individual who is willing to work for no compensation and receive no benefits; people applying for a position within an organization wants to know he or she will be taken care and the family members if he or she has any. The members of Team A took a team member’s job description that she re-wrote researched what compensation and benefit plan would meet the need of the position. This paper will cover the compensation and benefit plan the team developed along with provide justification for the plan and identify any obstacles or resistant the team foresees. First, the team will provide a summary of the compensation and benefit plan.

Compensation and Benefit Plan

In order for applicants to be attracted to the Level I Certified Benefit Adjustor position Cantene Corporation has to provide a compensation and benefit package that is competitive. According to Salary.com, the median salary for entry level positions in this type of work is $40K. The compensation for the position Cantene is advertising should start around $45-$50K; this is above the median average. According to CNN Money, the average salary for college graduates with a degree in this field is around $48K. By offering a salary around the national average individuals will be interested in the position. Along with a competitive salary the company must also provide benefit plan that will attract applicants. The benefits that will be offered with this position are three weeks of paid vacation, eight federal holidays off, one week of sick time of, a 401k plan, stock options in the company, health insurance, a wellness program, education assistance, and family medical leave. By offering this compensation and benefit package Cantene will attract qualified individuals to fill the position being advertised.
