. “MUMBAKI” Every place in the world has its own culture. The culture they have practiceuntil they grown up. Culture has definite meaning one of this states that culture is a setof shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution,organization, or group. In the film “mumbaki” is about an Ifugao religious specialist meaning "sayer ofprayers". The story also focuses the relation of groups live in Ifugao where they havetheir own “datu” their leader yet, these groups shares the same beliefs and under thesame tribe. And also it covers the adaptation new way of curing illness of people but itwill disobey their belief where they believe that their “baki” or gods may punish them inany curse. This story begins with the conflict between the unsettled marriage of anIfugao chieftain daughter named Dolores from Alimit tribe and son of an Ifugaochieftain named Joseph from Lidum tribe. Where Joseph move to Baguio to study highschool and got and scholarship and pursue his college and graduated as Medical inManila and back to Ifugao when he knew he death of his father. And get more worstwhen the father of Joseph died, when he had an argument to his conflict tribe. Theyargued only about the boundaries of there territory, where who should own the old treebetween the two tribe each them has explanations that ends up the leader of Lidumtribes death and these start of the beginning of the war for revenge and justice. TheLidum tribe believes that once they cannot have the justice of death of their leader theywill suffer like experiencing different illness and worse that may cause to death of otherpeople too. And all the tribe in Ifugao does not believe the medicine that given to themby their doctor, they believe that only their “mumbaki” can help and save them withhelp of their “baki” because he/ she is the one send by “baki” to save them.
