What more important than humanity
A bomb is dropped, missiles fired;
Terror knocks at your door and brings pain.
Ruthless killers, assassins hired,
Friends, foe, family – indiscriminately they are slain.
Abandoned and homeless souls in sight,
People informed do flee.
But what more important than humanity for which they fight;
‘cause of which rivers of blood and corpses we see
Each moment, as it passes by;
Brave soldiers and men risking their lives,
But on the battlefield lifeless they lie;
Mourning for them their children and wives.
War is frenzy at its height.
All like a nightmare – tense and extreme;
But what more important than humanity for which they fight;
For more like subversives chaos it does seem.
Squads of soldiers slaughtering their adversaries,
All for the power of supremacy;
Far and wide an abates of trees,
All to protect unguaranteed ascendancy.
Not regretting even in hindsight,
Emptying emotions of harmony and trust;
But what more important than humanity for which they fight,
And practice war so utterly unjust?
Civilian lives put at risk
Consequences are deathly,
Downright demands for fisc;
Traitors being created stealthily.
It’s like a succubus every night,
Haunting you; trying to kill you,
But what more important than humanity for which they fight;
And leave the world with peacekeepers a few.
Billions of lives lost,
Is it really worth all the pain?
Innocent lives should not pay the cost;
For then, there is nothing to gain.
War is everyone’s plight,
For change, adopt non-violent ways
‘cause what more important than humanity for which they fight;
