Management Style Essay

I define management as a process that includes the following key points: planning, organizing, directing, and controlling. Management is also in charge of resources which is anything that a person will use to reach certain goals or tasks. When you are in management it is your job to get your workers in a team to complete tasks that are required by showing them how to use all the resources that are available for them to use. When it comes to planning the management teams chose what tasks need to be completed and when they should be completed by setting deadlines. When it comes time for organizing the management staff must create certain ways or ideas to set the plans into action by giving different employees individual works tasks for them to complete in the certain time schedule for the goal of the task being worked on to be completed. When a management team is directing their employees they do this to increase the production rates that are being produced by the employees so they will produce better levels over a shorter time frame. When it comes to controlling a manager is looking at the performance of the employees to see how they are performing the required tasks and if needed managers will set up meetings to discuss any issues on performance. In these meetings the managers and employees will talk about ideas of how they could perform at a faster past if required.

What are good qualities of a manger?

I would say that the qualities of a good manager would include leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving. When it comes to leadership a good manager will be able to lead their team without showing the team the stress they may be under to complete goals and tasks on time. One of the major factors a good manager must have is communication. A good manager must have great communication skills because they are the ones who will be talking in various situations. Managers who have good communication skills are able to listen to their employees concerns and work with them to solve the issues. When a good manager works with their employees to finish tasks this speaks louder than any words of encouragement because it shows the employees that they are appreciated for the work they do. A good manager will always be organized and know what tasks need to be completed first and what is the best actions to use to complete the tasks. A good manager will be able to spot a problem with and employee or customer just by watching their actions. They will be able to come up with the best ideas to solve the problems or issues without hassle. Good managers will handle the problem themselves and not pass in onto someone else to take care of the issue.
