Elevator Pitch
The majority of my working career was in the army for about four years. Afterwards I went into the service technician industry. I worked my way up to sales over the course of right years. Through the military I was able to gain important skills that will help me succeed in my current and future career. One of the most significant skills I acquired through the military was problem solving and how to be a leader. These skills have helped me evolve and become a better technician as well as an employee.
Companies of Interest
The first company that came to mind is Mitsubishi. I chose this as my first choice because the equipment that I work on which is uninterrupted power supplies. Mitsubishi is by far the leader in this industry. I believe I would be an asset to their company because of the knowledge I have with their products. Not only do I have experience working on their equipment I have also taken several classes to expanded that knowledge. I would also be able to delegate my time and shuffle as much tasks that I need too, to help with the busy schedule that it would intel.
The second company that I would pick would be Vivint. Being part of a big organization such as Vivint would be an exceptional experience because of all the support one gains from working in a large company. There are multiple people that you can talk to and learn from. As a technician I would be able to expand my knowledge by learning security systems and solar energy at Vivint. Even thought that I do not know much about Vivint’s market, I still deal with supplying power just like solar energy does. With the skills I acquired from the military I am a fast learner and can lead a crew. These skills will also help me to complete all task in the appropriate amount of time.
The next organization that I had in mind was law enforcement as a police officer. Being in law enforcement feels similar to military lifestyle. Police officers are a tight family where everyone is there for each other and has each other’s backs. After being in the military for four years I fill that I could be an important part of the police force because of my background. The reason is because I started in the infantry taking orders doing whatever needed to be done, to being able to lead and make the right decisions to help keep my fellow soldiers safe. Another similarity to law enforcement and military is being fit and staying alert. These skills are important to me because I want to be able to run and lift or just do anything that is required for physical fitness.
