San Diego Beach
The silky, clement sand comforted my feet as they depressed down into the small, grainy pebbles. I closed my eyes and allowed the misty draft to lightly stroke my face, as I wished of never leaving this paradise. My mind hopelessly wanders to the Pacific Beach, every time I see or hear of anything related to sand, water, or San Diego.
The indigo ocean boasted her waves, as they roared down to the shore, and transformed into frothy, bubbly foam. They were still gentle, though, considering how the countless amount of boys with eyes bluer than the bottomless ocean itself were conquering the endless sapphire monster with their surfboards. My lungs inhaled the salt in the chilly air, an aura that assured my mind that I undoubtedly lost myself in pure happiness. As I looked up to the sky, several flocks of strident seagulls soared over my head into the eternal azure horizon. This seaside felt like home. For once, my thoughts remained tranquil and silent as the peaceful sky, which is particularly uncommon, considering how I am always in stress.
I walked through the coastline for more than what could be hours, leaving my cheerful family and boisterous friends behind. I enjoyed the resonance of the waves crashing, the squeal of the children when discovering a new, appealing shell, and the thrilled adults who finally caught a fish that would scarcely provide for one person. The beautiful scenery, the savory taste of the buttery and zesty seafood in the restaurants around the shore, and the whisper of the ocean made me never desire to depart this beach. On my walk, I strolled past a woman reading an intriguing novel, a gloomy man singing a melancholy tune while playing his tired guitar, and a little girl creating her magical sand castle embedded with her collection of glossy seashells. This made me understand that the most unpretentious, yet treasured and close to heart
