Gun crime article Rayshawn was waiting to go to school on Feb. 23, 2015, in front of his home on South Sacramento Street in Stockton. A witness said a male in a gray sweater and white shoes shot Rayshawn. The gun used in this shooting was a missing gun that was tested and the shell casings are matching Silva’s gun as well, the preliminary tests show that it was same gun linked to three different shootings.After the shooting, Rayshawn’s father, who did not want to give us his name, spoke with the TV reported saying “they took my baby for no reason.” He said Rayshawn was a special-needs student and was a smart and well-liked kid. After the shooting, more people responsible threatened more violence. The father said he was threated the more people would come back kill. The Harris Family has since moved, but neighbor Jesus Guerra said Silva visited them after the murder and believes Silva needs to be held accountable. Silva did not report the gun was missing until nearly a month after Rayshawn’s death. The report was made on March 22, 2015. Silva reported that his home had been burglarized and that his Beretta was taken along with a 100-quart cooler, a generator, a laser printer, a camera and a game consol.
