Leadership is one of the most critical issues in management. Through the years there have been numerous theories about the styles and attributes needed to be possessed by a leader. For this task, you need to read and comprehend the case study entitled "ACME AND OMEGA: THE PARADOXICAL TWINS. In the case study, you will see two leaders from two competing companies who have different characteristics and approaches to leading. Your task is to present the leadership qualities and shortcomings of these two leaders. Organise your analysis in such a way that you will be able to:
• Explain the skills and attributes needed for leadership (2.1)
• Explain the difference between leadership and management (2.2)
• Compare leadership styles for different situations (2.3)
• Explain ways to motivate staff to achieve objectives (2.4)
SCENARIO 3: TEAMBUILDING PROGRAM
In this experiential exercise, the class has to put into practice and later on explain through writing about the principles and experiences about working in teams. The experience have to be written as an ACADEMIC ARTICLE which is supposed to explain theories and principles of team building. The article should focus on;
• Assessing the benefits of teamworking (3.1)
• Demonstrate working in a team as a leader and member towards specific goals, dealing with conflict/ difficult situations (3.2)
• Review the effectiveness of the team in achieving goals (3.3)

Pass is achieved by meeting all the requirements defined in the assessment criteria.
