Divorce is literally separation of a married couple legally either in a court of law or other competent body. Before any divorce takes place there as to be reasons to the result. Many couples have gone through divorce process because of different reasons. The impact is always felt by the whole family not only the spouse. A family that goes through divorce of the parents faces very difficult challenges.

In this article we will be reviewing causes of divorce, effects of divorce to a family and dealing with divorce. Dealing with divorce is Quite a challenge but also a process one as to go through

When I was young, six years of age, my parents divorced. Since my life has never been the same again. We moved to my mother’s parental home. Life was too hard for my mother and me. She was abused by my uncle and his two wives. It felt pain to see my mother go through sleepless nights. My cousins treated me so badly too, life was not life I knew since when I was a kid.

Before my parents’ divorce, I had a very simple life and full of freedom from tortures and suffering of the world. Neither did I know what poor people went through, but this sudden change came at the time I least expected. We would sleep empty stomachs while my cousins were full stomach and satisfied.

In three years, my life had taken a totally different angle, am grateful though. For it gave me heart of a lion. Today I don’t fear anymore beast of the earth, am greatly focused and powered to fix where earth had swallowed and taken away from me. Father figure, something has never had.

CAUSES OF DIVORCE

Poor communication between the spouses

Many marriages go down on the due reason of poor communication between the partners. Enhanced communication in a relationship is the key to solve the differences between the partners. Communication is also the key to maintain a good relationship at the same time build a more healthy relationship. If the communication between the spouses isn’t as good this may affect their relationship negatively, even if they live together it’s still fundamental to keep openness and honesty. If a marriage turns to be a distance relationship in case of job allocation or for any other reasons, poor communication between the spouses is more dangerously going to lead to a divorce. It is therefore very important to remain open in a relationship since silence leads to a worse ending.
