Electrical-Quik was an 80-year-old manufacturing company that publicly lead manufacturer and retailer of electrical products and supplies in past years. But in recent years, problems struct and stare at the face of the company because the share of the market was declining in the faces of investors, stake/share holders and the foreign and domestic competition at large. Conceptual ideas were very little so as to strategic planning and implementation. The distance between sales and manufacturing were so wide and downsided. Employees were losing hope in the company and tried to relocate themselves in seeking a new job.
But after several years of breakdown and downfall of the company, a man by the name of Martin Griffin was hired to revive and bring the company back to life. Martin had a lot of hope for the company and went on holding a meeting for motivation and empowerment of the company. He wanted a new era for the company and made procedures on how the company should run and how employees should work with each other in a creative way and visualizing conceptual new ideas to uplift the company.
But many of the company’s employees tried downsizing the re-engineering and re-construction of the company. The vice president of manufacturing, Barbara Russell was very enthusiastic about the idea(empowerment and re-construction). Barbara had smile on her face when Martin came and proclaimed a new era for the company. She was happy about the assignment given to her to be the head of manufacturing team in the re-construction and re-engineering of the company. After assignments, employees were feeling happy doing assignments well and even spending nights awake to complete their tasks, jobs or objectives. More ideas were believed to be innovative and creative. After presentation of reports to various group heads, their suggestions and opinions on the report were contradictory and they had a total opposite view of their reports presented by team members or subordinates.
