In journaling my food intake for the last 3 days, I have discovered that I do not eat like I should to maintain a healthy weight. In some of the research that I have done the amount of food that a person needs to take in depends on their size and how active they are in a day, metabolism plays a big part in this. It is like your car the more you drive it the more gas you need to put in it.
With journaling the amount of my intake and reading the nutrition guidelines; without the proper nutrition I have become better aware of what causes serious illness and how it can affect your life. Examples of the main essentials that you need in your daily routine are proteins, carbohydrates, and liquids in equally parts. Proper nutrition is essential for normal operation of the body to occur. During this normal operation the tissues and muscles receive protein which is generated by food intake. As our bodies use the protein to create enzymes and hormones as a source of energy these good carbohydrates assist with breaking down glucose. If this glucose remains in the body it could lead towards being obese because of lack of energy.
When gathering the data for the daily intake for your carbohydrates should be responsible for the maximum percentage of calories (fat gram). Study shows that eating too much red meat can decrease our life span, but if we eat it in moderation it is ok. There is a need to increase the fiber slowly to reach the daily needed grams of 25 to 35 grams recommended to be healthy (fiber). The more fiber you eat reduces gas and bloating in the body. Then there is to get in drinking all the water that your body needs in a day (Nutrition for Everyone: Basics).
With insufficient food intake of the proper nutrients blocks the body’s performance until it get the proper nutrient to start over. The muscle and tissue of the body need to regain and preform as one. If there’s not enough intake of water this can lead to constipation or an irritable bowels syndrome (Fiber). If you are not giving the body the proper nutrient; and realizing how sluggish it is becoming, and the tired feeling. It is also craving that the body needs it necessities to function properly. For better health cut back on the fried food and the sugary snacks.
