Change. That was the word crossing everyone’s mind throughout the entire democratic campaign during the election of 2008. Whether Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama was picked as the Democratic presidential candidate, things would be changing. If Obama was elected then the United States of America would elect their first African American president. On the other hand, if Hillary Clinton was elected, the first female would be elected as President of the United States. Although there were countless amounts of controversy that Obama had to deal with, he pulled through giving the United States the change it needed.
Barack Hussein Obama II was born on August 4, 1961 in the city of Honolul, Hawaii. His father, also Barack Obama, was from Kenyan descent whereas his mother, Ann Dunham grew up in Kansas.
