The third layer of cake is lesser felonies; they end in plea agreement and they are nonviolent crimes
The fourth layer of cake is misdemeanors; they represent the largest cased in the criminal justice history they also end with plea agreements.

Compare and contrast the crime control perspective of criminal justice to the due process perspective of criminal justice
- The crime control perspective is where they think crime should be the most important role of criminal justice. They think police should have the power in order to better investigate arrest, search, and convict citzens. They also think police should not be handcuffed. The crime control perspective thinks that if a person is filed with criminal charges a person should be filled with criminal charges automatically. The main purpose of this process is to help discover the truth and help accused the guilty ones.
- The due process helps focus on defendants tight not the victim rights. The police police powers should be limited to an individual. They think criminal justice authorities shouldn't be held accountable to the laws. They also think a person shouldn't be held just on there facts.
