Apart from direction-setting such like…
- Where are we now as a business?
- What are our by-stage goals during bad times?
- Are we competitive enough, and if not, where are the weaknesses?
- Any strategic plans/ foresights that are designed to lead business through bad times?
-Any motivator in bad times? One of them is to put more focus on individual target- give two or three workers that do a good job a bonus and use them as motivating factors on the other employees
It's also about how to get what each other wants and to achieve company goals…
-Employer wants to deliver products & services on time and in good shapes, so at least that existing business orders can be kept
-Business orders can help sustain work force and secure jobs
-Employees' more fundamental need of job security can then be fulfilled first.
=> Employees then need to demonstrate appropriate behaviors, meaning a "no (x)" for each of following behavior:
- Late to work, or physically arrive on time but spritely absent/ start working late
- Tardy in response and performing tasks
- Spend more time on breaks, and takes a long time to resume to normal pace after break
- Complain to other colleagues how bad it's the job
-Employer wants to have readily available resources & manpower when more businesses come back
