‘Global Warming and Sociology’ has put across a number of points. The journal says that Sociologists are ignoring Global Warming, as it has not appeared in any main journals within the Sociology field, and rarely mentioned in smaller Sociological work. Sociology’s usual distance from natural science, the fixation on instant gratification, and because Global Warming will effect us in the far future, were given as reasons why Sociologists have not been writing about Global Warming.
