SPIRIT OF ARCHITECTURE
The quality of design affects the quality of our lives. Everything is designed and nothing happened by accident.
What is architecture? What is its function? What are the architectures roles to society? How it affects our lives? How it shapes the environment? These are some of the questions that architecture ought to answer.
Architecture is not just for sheltering, storing and building, it is something that helps us lifts our spirits. Good architecture should make us feel better about the world we live in, as it gives us the reason to live. For Oscar Niemeyer, architecture is providing art work that surprises, the type of building that is unique and doesn't repeat itself. For the designers of the best building in the world, architecture gives people memorable experiences, it is attuned to what is going outside, and it has the capacity to slowdown our lives.
