Success only Comes from Hard Work. There Is No Such Thing as Luck. (gre)

Success is something that everybody try to reach during his life. That’s because if you have success you are respected by your colleague, you have money and you feel realized in your professional life. However, even if you try, the success not always come. For this reason, when most people think about the successful character of our days they may think that they are just lucky and life helped them to achieve their goals. Nevertheless, that is not always true; in fact behind the success and a certain position, people might have worked a lot in their life. So, in my opinion, the argument that declares that success only comes from hard work and there is no such thing as luck, is not always acceptable.
I read a book called “Outliers” that support this idea. In the book the author affirms that your intelligence, and consequently the chance to have success in life, is directly correlated with your education level, income and life expectancy. Having a talent is not sufficient. In fact, even if you are particularly talented in a specific field but you don’t have the change to develop your knowledge or you don’t want to do it because you are lazy, this talent get lost and as result the possibility to have success. And again, if you’re willing to grow your knowing is strong but you don’t have the financial or familiar support or you are grew up in a non-stimulating environment, your talent get lost in any case. After having read this book I have realized that hard work always give back something positive.
On the other hand, luck is also an important factor. If for example, your dream is to play basketball but you are only one meter seventy tall, there is nothing you can do about it. It is not your fault if Mother Nature made you so short, or not tall enough for playing in a basketball team. Of course, you can try to follow your dream, but you have to struggle against people much taller than you that, only because of their height, will be considerate
