The factors of becoming a successful adult has played a major part in my life. The six factors include: personal characteristic, people, place, problems and circumstances, programs, and passionate interests. The first factor of personal characteristics has given me the chance to be who I am growing up to be. I would say my personal characteristics are that I am dependable, fair, fearless, independent, intelligent, charming, confident, and humble. As an adult, these qualities will help me be the best adult I can be. For example, as a confident individual I can set my mind to any obstacle and overcome it. I have faith in myself to be successful with anything. If I just so fail to succeed, then I am humble enough to keep trying until success is in my corner. People have shown me the value of support. My family has been my biggest fan during my college career and I strive to make them proud of me every day. Other people have shown me that they root for your failure and those are the people that need to be out of your life. The place has many different aspects. One, being here at LSU has obviously given me the education I need to be an adult. Second, New Orleans is my hometown and it’s where my support system of family resides. Three, moving after college to a new city will give me the opportunity to grow and endure new things like meet new people. Problems and circumstances have showed me that despite having obstacles stand in my way, putting my trust in God and knowing that I will overcome them one way or the other is what will push me to being a great adult in this world. Problems come every day. Some are big and others are small, but adversity goes a long way. Programs I take to be the courses taken here at LSU. My major has given me the chance to use the knowledge I’ve gain to go further in life. Finally, my passionate interest: my son! Besides the normal interests like movies and singing, my son has made me mature into a woman and a mother. He has given me joy
