1.1 Background of the Website
Smiling Fruit is a 100 percent Australian owned organisation which was established in 2000 for delivering free fruits and vegetables to the people living in and around Sydney. Smiling fruit does not believe in the “one man on a van behind the web pages” model. Smiling Fruit is a conventional fruit based shop, they work together with the local farmers to make sure that the customers’ receive the freshest produce every day directly from the farm into their homes. The website also promises money back guarantee if the delivery doesn’t meet the customer’s expectations. All the fruit and vegetables are carefully selected and handled by their professionals who have years of experience. So, basically Smiling Fruit is the perfect website for people to buy everyday grocery with just a few click from their homes or offices. Therefore, the primary goal of Smiling Fruit website is to provide convenience to all these types of customers by offering free delivery to most of the suburbs in Sydney.
1.2 Brief Introduction to Objectives, Main Features and Functions
Following the evaluation and assessment of The Smiling Fruit website completed in Assignment 1, it was made clear towards the end of the assignment1 that this website requires redesigning to improve user interaction, content, navigation and consistency issues.
