Total quality pioneers have shaped the way many organizations have developed and processed their products and services. W. Edward Deming was a pioneer of total quality development and improving the product and service for the life of the organization.

Quality is a dynamic state associated with product, services, people, process; and an environment that meets or exceeds expectations and help produce superior value. (Goetsch, D.L., and Davis S. B. 2010) In the past, the quality of a product or service was the result of the life of the product or what ingredients created the product. However, things have changed and customers want better products and services, which involves the product, services, environments, process and people. The product must be worth purchasing, if the customer does not desire the product, no one will purchase it. A quality product may have several uses and appeals to different people for different reason. Once an organization provides a service, the service must be quick, effective, and affordable and produces positive result for the person seeking the services. The environment can be a major element when providing a service, or getting a product out to the public. If a person walks into a beautiful restaurant, only to find a horrible smell, would that person stay and eat? The environment must have the same amount of effort, if not more to produce a quality service or product. Depending on the environment, it may or may not increase revenue for the organization. When creating a product or services the process will prove to produce a quality product or service. During the process of making a product, there are other important factors to consider. The organization should consider the material used to make the actual product. If the organization rushed the production of the product, it could cause the assembly to lose focus and produce a shabby product. The people who are purchasing these product and services are a very important element as well. The people must have a need or desire for the product or service. People who produce the product are also important, yet the customers are the people who will seek the product that will create the profit for the organization. Once a group of people is dissatisfied with a product or service, they will inform others and the reputation of the product and services are ruined. It is often hard to return form a ruined reputation; this could lead to job loss and closure of the organization.

In the ever-changing word today, these elements are crucial to providing quality products and services. If an organization expects to profit from their product or service, it must meet the needs of the customer or individual seeking the service. When an organization
