Animal Farm

I had a hard decision to make when I read the options between what book I had to do my book report on. So what I did was take my top 3 picks and read the first chapter of them all. Then I continued on from there and picked the book I enjoyed, interested me, taught me, or helped me comprehend an important topic or idea. If you are reading this book report then I have chose the book Animal Farm by, George Orwell. Now this decision had me thinking for quite a while. So in this report I will show you what I learned and liked about the book Animal Farm.

I found the book Animal Farm to be very interesting. This was because of the storyline the book had followed. In the book Animal Farm by, George Orwell the plot follows along the lines that the animals of the Manor Farm think that they are not treated properly. The animals then decide to rebel and they create there own form of work and government. No animal must ever live in a house, or sleep in a bed, or wear clothes, or drink alcohol, or smoke tobacco, or touch money, or engage in trade. All the habits of man are evil. And above all no animal must ever tyrannise his own kind. Weak or strong, clever or simple, we are all brothers, no animal must ever kill any other animal. And all animals are equal.” After Old Major finished delivering his speech he sang a song from his youth called “ Beasts of England”. Three days later Old Major had passed away while resting. All the animals plotted a rebellion on Mr. Jones inspired by Old Major’s ways called Animalism.

This is where three young pigs come in. Snowball, Napoleon, and Squealer. These pigs were considered the most intelligent and took leadership in planning the rebellion. The rebellion came sooner than expected after Jones had lost a lot of his fortune in a lawsuit and wasn't maintaining the farm. The animals became starved and when they broke in the storage shed to eat a meal Jones came with four men lashing whips
