Chapter 1: Company Profile and Internship Background

I had a chance to work as a trainee at Ichitan Group Public Company Limited, which is the leader Green Tea brand in Thailand. I was working at Ichitan Headquarter 2922/301-303, Charn Issara II Building 28th Floor, New Petchburi Road, Kwang Bangkapi, Khet Huaykwang, Bangkok,  10310. Another factory is located at 123 Samae-dum, Bangkhuntean, Bangkok. Ichitan’s Green Factory and Tanland is at Uthai, Uthai District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya 13210, Thailand

I started an internship on 2 June 2015, and finished on 17 July 2015. It took about 45 days. The department I was working at was Trade Marketing in Beverage Marketing Department. I was subordinate for my supervisor and his team. It's very interesting and good for gathering experience. My duty related to the market survey was a great experience to learn the customers. This is to check the promotion, product place. I went to so many store to look at the different of the product in different store and deal with the suppliers and the distributor. Here is for some example the working place I went, DKSH headquarter at Sukhumvit Rd, DKSH warehouse at Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya.

I had two Supervisors there. My Supervisors’ names are Mr.Tanapan Khongnuntha, Executive Vice-president and Mr. Pruttipong Limapornvanitch, Trade Marketing Manager. They gave me so much advice about the differences between lessons and reality; this really helped me to get through the problems while doing a project there and routine work. My supervisor monitored me by using an observation, teaching also check the effectiveness of my work

Chapter 2: Internship Experience

Everything is hard when it is the first time. I have to adapt to the new environment of a new work place and new group of people. There are many things that are different from Campus life in Assumption University. It was a real working environment; everyone around me was concentrated on their job, so I cannot be the same person there at Ichitan Company. First of all, the time schedule had to change. Since, the work place on New Petchaburi Rd. is very far from my home I have to wake up early, about 5 a.m. every work day, Monday to Friday. Also, I have to find the fastest route, so that I can arrive at the company on time. At the Company there is no excuse for being late. Everyone must arrive at the company before 8.30 a.m., even only a minute after that time is also count as late. This situation forced me to be punctual. Time management is needed and it helped me a lot. I always arrived before the appointment time, between 10 to 30 minutes, just in case of an accident. Another important thing is responsibility. There is a big challenge for me about working hours and work overload situations, because I work as a trainee at Ichitan and be a Management Student. I have to set the work schedule strictly otherwise it may cause a big problem for me. Also, the priority of work is another problem. It is hard to do well on both sides at the same time, so the best solution for me is do my best for the first priority. After finishing that job, I can just go on to another project.
