Stress can be placed on anyone concerning making life- changing decisions. Especially when that individual wants to ensure that the decision that was made is the best choice.  He or she must make sure that the decision had adequate planning and evaluation of the options.  There will be so many decisions made on the lives of everyone. There will be a great deal of time used to weigh out the different options; because of this the decision process is vital.

There are so many different events that occur in the military that will required to make suitable choices or will have an impact on the servicemen and women who are involved with the unit as well as the unit. There was a point in my military career when I had to make a decision that did have an effect on me.  I would say that the choice was affecting me personally rather than professionally.

There were many times when I had to make some choices that had an impact on me and others. This paper is based on a decision that I had to make that was more personal rather than professional. Unlike a choice of re-enlist that is consider to be a professional decision. When someone comes across the decision to re-enlist, he or she is considering it for professional benefits for retention. However, my decision was more about my own personal feelings and status at the given moment.

With the many strenuous activities in the Navy, life can become very stressful and challenging. During all these challenges, a person can develop a great deal of different feelings and discontent.  Although a person goes through challenging times in the navy, there is also good to those challenging times.  Sometimes those challenging times and decisions will become a rewarding.  Abundant amount hard work and sacrifices in the service can be very rewarding.  Some of us know how life in the military can be hard on the member and his or her family and because of the extreme challenges; a member may want to discharge from the military to get a normal life with the family, especially during mobilizations or deployments.  However that is a choice one must make very wisely.  When getting out the military there are numerous changes that will come behind it. One thing that definitely should take place is getting a plan in play.  This will allow the member to sustain the transition smoother. There will be some setback involve with the transition because loss of great deal of entitlements. Entitlements such as medical benefits, dental benefits, Housing Allowance, and Basic Allowances for Substances for name a few will no longer exist.  A person must also consider his or her status such as marital, children, living arrangement, educations, and jobs. These considerations should be the greatest impact on the decision-making process of whether you want to get out or remain in the service.
