Hybrid cars have actually been around for a while. In 1825, a man named Goldsworthy Gurney invented a steam car, which made an 85-mile road trip within ten hours. The top five most popular hybrid cars are as follows; Nissan Leaf, Ford Fusion, Chevrolet Colt, Toyota Prius, Ford C –Max. All the hybrids that I listed are all under 40,000 dollars. These hybrid cars have evolved over the years with their fuel saving and energy generated engines. Some hybrids car use either fuel or energy you have choice that the car prompts you for you to choose or you can either do both at the same instance.

Nissan Leaf- is a highly refined and decently affordable total electric car the Nissan leaf gives a range of 106 miles city and 92 miles highway. This hybrid is a five passenger hatch back, the only down side to this car is that home charging is still required. It is very hard to find electrical charging stations.

Chevrolet Volt- 40 miles all electric then after the car dispenses out the electricity it then sparks up a four-cylinder engine to save electrical energy. When car is in all electric mode, the hybrid creates a unique force. The hybrid also comes with attractive high tech graphic. The only downside of this car is that the sales tax on the tag is very expensive because of its dual power. The tag is about 7,500 dollars for this particular hybrid.

Ford Fusion- The fusion is redesigned it is a little bit larger than most, sportier, it is somewhat upscale. Fusion has loads of high tech features, the fusion has a combination of electricity and a brand new engine this hybrid delivers a lot of power for its time. This hybrid comes equipped with a fuel economy of 47 mpg for the city and the highway.  This hybrid has no downside to it.

Toyota Prius- smaller and less expensive is a sportier looking car, the small system make inactive acceleration which is slower than most. This hybrid is rated 50 mpg combined fuel economy. The only downside to this car is that the ride can be a little bumpy.

Ford C-Max- greatly built hybrid, exciting to drive. The c-Max has a lot of room for the driver and the passengers. This hybrid comes equipped with my ford touch systems. With the gas-electric engine that the C-Max has it makes it more powerful as well as offering pretty decent gas mileage, 47 mpg fuel economy for city and highway. This hybrid has no downfall.

The type of hybrid that would work form e and my family would be the Nissan Leaf with is great MPG and roomy inside would make perfect my family. I have a big and we like to travel so the gas mileage would be plus I am sure the dogs love to hang out the wind. The Nissan leaf is so affordable for the family does not take much for the up keep. It looks very fun to drive with the new designed the manufactured has created for it. The really plus side is that is all electric so no stopping for gas, just charge and go, it’s not that expensive   and may family  loves to be on the go. Therefore, the Nissan leaf would be an excellent hybrid car for my family and I.  Hybrid cars extend fuel economy efficiency and provide most of the vehicles energy with it electrically generated sources with the cost of gas averaging about $2.50 a gallon the hybrid annual cost of fuel ranges about $982 getting 42 miles per gallon compared to a gasoline only car that gets 25mpg. According to LivingStrong.com in 2008, oil prices rose up $120 per barrel, which made the number of hybrids purchase rise.  Hybrid cars mainly preserve energy as well as save on fuel cost. Hybrid cars were invented to make the environment better for us and to keep the economy at a level base. The ore hybrid cars are being used the less we have o worry about using imported oil or petroleum to keep our cars running efficiently. Hybrid often use recycled energy to keep its engine efficiently running. The batteries that are used in hybrid does not need as much as a battery that is used in a gas only based car. The cost of keeping the maintenance on a hybrid vehicle can be very expensive the price can range anywhere from 1,700-11, 000 dollars depending how the hybrid vehicle needs servicing. The cost of keeping a hybrid car charged can be a daily cost or a monthly cost added to your current electric that is if you are using a residential place to charge. The United States using hybrid car technology instead of the traditional oil or petroleum could create a lot of controversy; a lot of business may be lost especially in the automotive trade industry. Oil prices may go up since less of the oil or petroleum will be produce, business relationships may be cut on short notice because the change. United States may have not have the same support as we have had in the past. Politically the hybrid vehicles technology innovation have the Politian’s on edge because the business risk that their taking by changing over to technical and energy running vehicles because of the trade contracts and dependency on trading that we have with other countries will make it a lot more difficult to switch over seeing that a lot things we are mostly through trade. Most political parties agree with the change in technology because it brings a leveled sense of revenue to the economy efficiently and effectively.
