A. Case introduction (describe relevant case background and scope of analysis):
Johannes Van den Bosch, who is a Dutchman working for the BigFiveFirm is confronted with a disappointed customer because he was unable to meet the desired time limit of approved deliverables. Therefore Van den Bosch decided to write down an Email to his Mexican counterpart Pablo Menendez, who is part of the issue. While at first, he actually dumped all of his disappointments in his draft mail, he decided to take a ‘calm down’ recess in order to reclaim neutrality in his mood. After a short break, he wrote his e-mail once again by sticking to the facts. In his mail, he undoubtedly stated his position and commands in a very direct but non abusive tone. His actual purpose for sending the e-mail was to strictly get down to business related tasks.

1. Communication channels: Johannes is trading Pablo as if he’s suborder. an den Bosch had made several requests to Mr. Pablo Menendez for the required financial statements but the outcome and status of the demand was absolutely zero.
2. Organisation structure lack of responsiveness: if nobody feels responsible for doing it, nobody will do it because everybody thinks the others have to do it.
3. Channels of information flow – sometimes a call or meeting is more efficient than 100 E-Mails

Miscommunication: the importance of this project is not communicated properly. It seems like its more important to Van den Bosch than it is to Menendez.
