2) Emotional intelligence is your ability to understand and interpret your emotions and others in a situation. It is classified into self-awareness, self management, awareness of others' and management of others emotions. Research has shown that people with high EI are good leaders, interpersonal, perform well in interviews, and are good at organizing social, emotional, and learning activities. Cognitive intelligence is your ability to create, analyze, and apply their ideas very efficiently. They have practical intelligence that will help them better use and understand concepts, tasks, and ideas. Therefore, based on these two for of intelligence I feel that I have a higher cognitive intelligence, so I would tend to not agree with the statement. I think that it would be good to have a balance of the two to help you excel in the workforce. If I had to pick one, I think that being effectively able to analyze and understand the information that you are given is more beneficial to the company. I think it is good to know how people will react to situations is valuable; however I feel that emotions can also get in the way when it comes to making crucial decisions.
5) There are five factors that influence an employee's loyalty to the organization. Justice and support play a factor, employees tend to value if the company is fair, has moral integrity, and are concerned about their well being. Also employees like when the company's values reflect their own; if they agree with their policies they will be more prone to stay. They also need to trust the company and its leaders and mangers. They need to have a good relationship, however when layoffs happen, the trust is usually broken. Employees also tend to like being part of the team; they like to know how the company works and how decisions are made, as well as, being informed about events with coworkers and mangers.
