Abstract
Study of Consumer Behavior in the purchase of Lab Furniture
Furniture is the collective term for the movable objects which may support the human body (seating furniture and beds), provide storage, or hold objects on horizontal surfaces above the ground. Storage furniture (which often makes use of doors, drawers, and shelves) is used to hold or contain smaller objects such as clothes, tools, books, and household goods.
Furniture is what gives a place its final look and character whether it is a home, office or an educational institution. Aesthetic appeal has been playing a key role in both design and selection of furniture in recent times. This is not one of the standard products where we can assume one size fits all. On one side where the homeowners choose furniture on the basis of its aesthetic appeal even more than its functionality, office customers look for furniture that make a positive workspace and focus on comfort, ergonomics and efficient space utilization. Similarly, for laboratory furniture durability, maintainability and reliability together with aesthetics are key factors to be considered.
