CHALLENGES MANY LEADERS
With the ever changing world today, this holds true within the business world too. There are so many different theories out here today about the “Leadership” role within an organization. Leaders today have to be more focused the organization as a whole from top management all the way down to its employees. Each organization is different so when choosing the right leadership theory for your organization is a must. No two businesses are the same and this whole true for all team members within the organization.
Within the business world today organizations are putting more demands on managers and leaders and at the same time they must be flexible and adaptable. As the world changes, leadership must also change (D’Ambrosio, 2013). It has been said that this is an age of teamwork and this holes true because if anyone thinks about it no leader leads without followers (D’Ambrosio, 2013). After all, theory and practice of leadership goes hand in hand (Boone, 2013).
Leadership Theories
Over the years there have been many different theories and each one has been reviewed over the years and at the same time they have been up-dated with new ideas and new goals some will overlap into other theories but with a different style. When it comes to large organizations they will actively look inside the organization for good leaders but for small organizations owners of the company will often fill this role themselves or hire outside the organization. With that said either way understanding the theories of organizational leadership will help the company grow and develop leadership skills and hire potential leaders during the hiring process (Guzman, 2013).
