In this assignment i have been asked to describe the internal and external factors to
be considered when planning the human resources requirement of and
organisation. The organisation i will be looking at is Tovota Motors.
Brief history
The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Ass ociation, Inc. was established in 1967 to
promote the sound development of the automobile manufacturing industrv and
contribute to social and economic welfare through research, information exchange,
public service and international cooperation activities.
Tovota is one of the biggest car-making organisations in the world. Because
emplovees have now been replaced bv machines assembling the cars quicker
Tovota is known as a capital intensive organisation. This means that the organisation
has technologv and machines doing more work than human emplovees.
Human resource management
Human Resource Management (HRM) is the function within an organization that
focuses on recruitment of, management of, and providing direction for the people
who work in the organization. Human Resource Management can also be
