We cannot understand organizations without understanding the behavior of people within them. I agree with this assertion.  

An organization is composed of a group of people working individually or often within teams. A contributing factor in shaping the organization depends on the way its people behaves towards each other. Organizational behavior is the systematic study and careful application of knowledge about how people as individuals and as groups act within organizations. It strives to identify ways in which people can act more effectively. And the field of organizational behavior gives us knowledge about how organizations behave.

When people know the right way to interact with one another, they can communicate effectively and build good working relationships. This results in achieving the organization objectives with maximum effect.  There are many factors that promote constructive organizational behavior such as accomplishments, encouragement, affiliation etc. Management should try to figure out the driving force that stimulates such a behavior and try to integrate more such factors in the work environment.

A manager must have thorough knowledge of organization behavior because it will help him to motivate his worker to bring positive outcomes.  It will also help them to forestall and resolve conflicts among individuals or competing groups within the organization.

The behavior of individuals within an organization can either defile the organization or aid in its overall improvement. As a whole, the organization gains hugely through analyzing and understanding organization behavior. Thus to understand an organization we should understand the behavior of its people.
