THE STRONGEST FEELINGS
Love and hate. The most powerful feelings that anyone could ever feel in their entire lives. As everybody lives at least several times in their lives, it is really very easy to hate or love somebody. Since the beginning of the mankind, feeling of love or hate is existed. It is not necessary to know what love is or what hate is in meaning. Every people can love somebody or hate somebody unconscious of what is these feelings. People have these feelings in their minds since their birth to death. Love can make the happiest times of people’s life and hate can make the worst times. That is why we can easily say these feelings are the strongest feeling that everybody have. For centuries, there have so many researches made about the feelings of love and hate. Since the emergence of literature, love and hate feelings have processed in literary works. The most powerful feelings that anyone could ever feel in their entire lives still remains as question mark so people are interesting in works that including feelings of love or hate and the interest is growing day by day. In literary works, feelings of love and hate does not only related with people against people. It can be people against animal, people against animal or thing. Simply it can be anything against anything. Feelings of love or hate in different ways can be served to readers as metaphors. For example, the story named “ Cat in the Rain ” by Ernest Hemingway has a love theme but that is the love between woman and a cat. Also the feeling of hate is clear between the women and her appearance.
In the other hand, the story named “ I Fell in Love, Or My Hormones Awakened “ by Judith Ortiz Cofer, has love and hate theme. Love between a girl and a boy and a hate against her family. In any case, it doesn’t matter who or what has a feeling of love or hate, literary works can serve it because love and hate are universal feelings and they can always catch the people in unexpected time and unexpected way in all stages of life. As it said before, since the emergence of literature, love and hate feelings have processed in literary works and it will be progressing ineluctable all the time. In a lots of literary works, feelings of love and hate had discussed in a same ways and also in a different ways. So it is clear the hate and love have an universal similarities and personal differences. That is why these subjects can be the most interesting thing for centuries in literally works.
