The quality of life is indescribable. Technology did increase the efficiency of their lives but that does not mean their quality of life is better. If one is the only person to achieve a higher level of efficiency, then one could enjoy a higher quality of life. Everyone’s life is not improved by technology those of us that do not have the means to receive the best efficiency of technology. Some people say only rich people are enjoying the qualities of life with technology. They are in a sense but it make it more difficult for them to; take Sony for example in there improvements on information technology has made them enjoy life even more than the ones that do not have that quality. The security for them to protect their information from hackers or any other spyware/viruses that can attack their technology.

Technology has improved our quality of life with medicine. Medicine has been revolutionized by technology in many ways in the U.S. practice today. The hospitals are more computerized in electronic medical records, email communications, and prescription orders. There are fewer medical errors with the technology that improves the medical field.

Surgeries are becoming more advanced with technology in dimensional imaging. The patients that receive these operations through the system are safe and accurate surgeries with fewer numbers of errors. The technology uses a special camera on a computer that uses infrared light to track a surgical instrument in 3D space. "In addition to the decreased incidence of nerve root injury, this technology allows us to place larger screws into the spine, which can also increase the success rate of the operation" (Eric, 2008).

Computerized tomography (CT) scans can help doctors detect everything from kidney stones to cancer, but they pack a huge amount of radiation, as much as 500 times that of a conventional X-ray. CT scans can quickly examine patients who may have internal injuries from car accidents or other types of trauma. The original CT scanners were invented in 1972 by British engineer Godfrey Hounsfield; the scanner could only be used to image the head. Throughout the years the device has advanced tremendously from examining the head to scanning the whole body. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) a test that use a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to make pictures of organs and structures inside the body. MRI also may show problems that cannot be seen with other imaging methods. Dr. Raymond Damadian produced the magnet resonance imaging machine; the first exam was in 1977. CT and MRIs scanners were invented the doctors relied on physical exams and listening to their patients.

Education has shown improvement throughout the years with the help of technology. In schools of today, the teachers have received more sources to help students by utilizing web sites, interactive whiteboards, online tutorials, and parent-teacher communications.
