This video “Attention and Consciousness-Unlearning Through Hypnosis” in this week’s work class was very interesting, Hypnosis is a great way to treat a patient but till today people are still extremely hesitant towards it as they think that it may not work while others think that it is the greatest help they can ever receive. What it does is that it relaxes your mind and lets you think with no stress surrounding it. Once that is achieved then we are able to access the sub-conscious level which what Dr. Raz states by stating that it could stop smokers from smoking.
The study shows a unique personal style of reading by making a word like “blue” and writing it in yellow for example and utilizes this notion to figure out if hypnosis can create changes within the involuntary mental procedures such as reading. When the patient have learned it can turn into an involuntary procedure. It shows perfectly how the discoveries of Amir Raz’s within the area that covers the hypothesis within people. The reason for this study is too utilized together with the Strop Effect study that would be to gather data concerning entrancing propositions that may cause individuals to observe their own instinctive language as being worthless by nature.
This experiment also could be used when an individual has a slow means on learning and see if it would change in a way for them to learn quicker and understand it quicker. This testing was reasonably unclear by nature since words had been saying one color but the color of the word’s letter were rendered a different color; examples of this would be blue or red. This study had been directed by the usage of assessments for a technique of testing eight volunteers that had been prone to hypnosis and an additional eight that had not been prone to hypnosis. The experiment was used to see if hypnosis would undo particular involuntary actions that are within a person’s skills of reading. By doing this the experiment needs to be challenging so it could increase their learning abilities.
