Stress is Unbearable
Stress is a problem for many people including myself. It's the forces of the exterior world that affect an individual. Individuals respond to stress in ways that affect themselves and the environment. Generally, stress is related to both internal and external factors. The external factors including physical environment, a job, relationships, your home, and expectations that you are faced with on a daily basis. The internal part is the way your body can respond to or deal with the external stress factors. Those internal factors include nutritional status, overall health and fitness levels, emotional well-being, and the amount of sleep a person gets. (Stoppler 1)
Ever since I was little, there was always a lot of pressure on me to do well and succeed. My parents are really strict about grades and making sure that I do well because no one in my family has ever graduated high school or even gone to college. They pushed and nagged me and made sure that I never came home with anything less than a B. They want me to be able to "make something of myself" and not have to struggle like they did. Everyone in the family told me that I have to be the one to go to college and graduate and not be like everyone else in the family. "You're the good kid in the family and you need to graduate college with good grades and not get pregnant like your cousins did," as said by one of my aunts. This put a lot of pressure on me to actually do well and made me feel that if I made a mistake I would be disappointing them, therefore causes me a lot of stress. The stress that I am facing now is more than I have ever had in my entire life so far and something needs to be done.
Lately, stress has been causes many problems. My whole life I have been able to take on many tasks and not be as stressful as I have been in the past month. All of a sudden, everything seemed overwhelming. In the past, I have had a job and been able to do many things and still have time to socialize with my friends, but everything has changed. Everyone has said that the first semester in college is the hardest to adjust to, but it was a breeze compared to this semester. I have a job
