PREFACE
As a part of the MBA Full Time Curriculum, all the students at NMIMS, Mumbai are required to undergo an Internship with an NGO in their hometown. At the end of the Internship program, a report is to be submitted on the projects undertaken during the course of Internship. The internship program, called WE CARE, is meant to give the students a feel of the various social issues concerning different sections of the society so that a humanitarian face is garnered in the students graduating from one of the best B-schools of the country.
During the first week of our internship we got familiar with the organization structure and functions. Working with Umang made us understand the need of differently-abled children. Apart from this we started working on business model of Umang. In the second week we worked on the cost and profit centers of Umang and identified the channels for sales of work training unit (WTU) products and approached them for sales of products and recruitment from Umang at their Organization.
Third week
