Big five personality types

There are five factors that the big five use to describe the personality types of humans.  Extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience are the five areas that the big five test. Talkative, excited, and assertive are traits of extraversion.  Sympathetic, friendly, and affectionate are traits of agreeableness.  Organized, detailed, and planned are traits of conscientiousness.  Edgy moody and nervous are traits of neuroticism. Wide interests, being imaginative and insightful are traits of openness to experience.  

        According to the big five assessment, I had scored a high level in emotional stability. I had scored a moderate level in agreeableness and conscientiousness. I had score low in extraversion and openness to experience. I do for the most part agree with the feedback that I received from the online assessment.  I do try and be agreeable and get alone with people, as I have learned to turn the other cheek and not give in to hatred actions.  I try to be very conscious of my surrounding and those around me, working on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier and taught me to keep my head on a swivel. I’m always cracking jokes or just being a smartass with people in an effort to make people smile and laugh which is a good thing to keep people uplifted moods. This can increase productivity. I am ok with trying and experiencing new things within reason. I try and learn something new but that don’t always work out since I hate school. Depending on what is on the board to learn dictates how high my curiosity level will be. Since I don’t know much my research skills can be very high, I am always looking something up on the internet.

        I believe being high in emotional stability is accurate. I don’t like arguing with people and will walk away to let all parties cool off, which can be a good thing for a team leader to possess. I believe that I am level headed and I deal most situations in a very calm manner. Letting my emotions get the best of doesn’t happen there for I can look at most things logically and objectively and base my decisions on that and not my emotions.  Receiving a low score for extraversion is spot on since I am not sociable and tend to stay to myself plus I don’t like crowds. If it wasn’t for my daughter I wouldn’t see anyone and would be alone all the time. I do and try to be more outgoing but can be hard since I am disabled, and I believe that balance in this area as in being more outgoing and being a little more assertive with my social life will help bring balance.

        I believe conscientiousness might be my strength as I try and plan and be organized and thorough person. Doing things in order and paying attention to details can prevent mistakes and keep things from being redone.  I think this trait is good to have in a professional life, specifically since one day I want to start my own business. As a business own you have be organized and detailed, especially when I have many projects in the shop.  Owning a business will require me to prioritize and planning is important with many projects. As with everything in life there is always room for of some type of improvement, but I feel this is particular important personality traits that will help will help in my future professional and in school life.
