Big Five Personality Types
The Big Five Personality Assessment is a great and simple tool to use. This assessment if used correctly can provide an individual, management and or company with a personality type for use in a hiring process, group task or personal growth. This specific essay will outline my personality assessment. My opinion of the assessment and why. Final how this assessment could affect my job performance.
Overall my Big Five Personality Exam have me at a moderate level for all of the personality types. I scored a seven extraversion, eight in agreeableness, six in conscientiousness, six in emotional stability and eight in openness to experience. Scoring moderately for the big five test is kind of unsettling. What I mean by this is in my understanding is kind of rare to be moderate in all if the primary personalities. For the most part I agree with my rating of extraversion. I am open to talking to people in store lines. I do enjoy meeting new people and making small talk mostly making people smile. My score of eight in agreeableness is interesting. I can find agreeableness in common tasks, point of views and conflict. I am not a fan of conflict especially when communication and openness for change can be a solution. I scored a six in conscientiousness. I does not surprise me that I scored on the lower scale. I am often not fully aware of personal feelings or situations. This is something that I am working on day to day. I scored a six as well in the area of emotional stability. This also is not too surprising. While this is still classified in the moderate area it’s not one of my stronger areas. I am working on this area by reading and praying daily. I am challenged to maintain my emotions and make sound decisions based on facts first. Finally I scored an eight in the openness personality portion. While I am open to meeting new people and trying new activities. I am open to the situation at hand. While meeting new people and depending on the timeframe we have in the same location and the openness of the other person. I enjoy conversations of life. The basics sports, movies and work activities. For the simplistic nature of this evaluation it provided great insight in my personality. This exam has provided an opportunity to identify my areas that I can possibly improve on. The evaluation as a whole can be seen as great tool in my opinion. This tool or assessment can assist me in my areas weakness. My areas of weakness are my conscientiousness and emotional stability. I am looking into self-help books to improve this areas of concern.
