- Background of the Company
Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. manufactures parts and accessories for motor vehicles. The Company is established from the partnership of Honda Motor Co. Ltd. Of Japan, DRB-HICOM Berhad and Oriental Holdings Berhad. The company also manufactures and distributes Honda automobiles. The company was incorporated in 15th November 2000 and is based in Alor Gajah. The company have 2 units manufacturing plant (line 1 and line 2). The company also have 3,906 workers and have produce 100,000 units car per year. The company products are Honda City, Honda Jazz, Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Honda CR-V and Honda HR-V.

1.3 ARDM Model
ARDM model is a strategic human resources management model which uses a diagnostic approach in solving problems. It focuses on internal and external environmental factors that directly or indirectly affect the HRM functions. The ARDM model focus on the major functions of human resources which are A= Acquiring, R= Rewarding, D= Development and M= Maintaining and Protecting human resources.
For any organization, the HRM implementation is necessary but focusing on the factors which influence the overall process of HRM including designation, implementation and maintenance of the HRM strategies is more than necessary for the managers of the organization (Anas Khan, 2012).
The objective of the model is to ensure that the company through management of the personnel will produce end result which socially responsible and ethical practices as well as to produce competitive, high quality products or services. Thus, it can be seen that the model can be used in any sector not only in product based company.
