I chose to interview Veronica Vance she can be located inside of the -----------------. Mrs. Vance phone number is. She is currently over 7 associates. Mrs. Vance is the manager over the store Things Remembered. She has been with Things Remembered for almost 4 years and she loves it. Things remembered Things Remembered is the nation's largest and most prominent retailer of personalized gifts (Vance, 2013). For over 40 years, they've helped people celebrate life's moments (Vance, 2013). There gifts allow customers to express their emotions through engraving. They've seen the power of engraved gifts, and they take the responsibility of helping people find the perfect words seriously. Many times, there're creating heirlooms. Mrs. Vance has an associate's degree in English literature however that was not her career plans. Mrs. Vance started out working at Wal-Mart for 2 years before she started working for a storage company. I chose Mrs. Vance because I recognize her enthusiasm for her job and her care for her customers. Now let's get into some of Mrs. Vance's professionalism.
Mrs. Vance's favorite part of her job as a sale professional is to see the customer's happy and to see the surprise look on their customers face. Mrs. Vance works inside the Navy Exchange; which is a store serving the armed forces, so she often gets sentimental request like, "welcome home sailor," or "I love my wounded warrior." These things warm her heart and make her happy to be doing what she does. Mrs. Vance loves her job and at this point couldn't see her Mrs. Vance doesn't really have a least favorite part of her; however, she would really love to have less paper work. She could really do without the sales reports. She motivates herself by set her own personal deadlines and making sure to meet them. She also motivates her associates by having them set their own deadlines as well. She believes that if she gives them lead way they will feel that they are more independent and will display they independence their work performance. But how did it all start?
Mrs. Vance became sales associates by going to a job fair that she had heard about through one of her husband's colleagues. She was thrilled because as Navy wife stability was an issue and she wanted something permanent to go along with her husband's new permanent relocation. At the job fair Thing's Remembered Company was looking for a new manager for their new store. Mrs. Vance won over the interview with her charm, charisma, and her former sales experience.
