There are many infrastructure companies in India which are following the techniques that motivates the employees to work hard and obtain an environment that makes them comfortable. Many theories of organizational behaviour can be correlated with the actual scenario of the motivation techniques being applied in the organization. For the assignment purpose we have selected L&T as company to which we have correlated the theories with the techniques that they use to motivate the employees.
L&T being one of the leading global pure-play engineering services company, built upon a 75 year old legacy and heritage of the Larsen and Toubro who believe in engineering better products and discovering novel ways to build a sustainable future. They offer high end services and solutions that span the entire engineering life cycle to all major industries viz. By this program they wanted to improve self-efficacy, which is the inner motive an individual thinks off like “I Can Do”, this helps the individual to perform his/her task giving their best. When talked with one of the HR of L&T company, they provide training to the employees with an objective to inculcate the right attitude amongst the employees, also their skills are sharpened so that they can perform in hassle free environment and provide them with some adequate knowledge, thus the employees get more confident about the task that they will be getting to perform at the workplace.
