2. Job Rotation
Job rotation is simply moving from one task to related tasks or series of jobs to broaden their managerial experience and explore the hidden potential of an employee. This provides exposure to variety of tasks and broad-bases the understanding of the trainees. Job rotation Is a pre-panned approach with an objective to test the employee skills and competencies in order to place him or her in the right place. This technique also reduces the monotony of the job and gives them a wider experience and helps them gain more exposure and knowledge.
3. Conference or Discussion
A conference is structured around a small-group meeting in which a leader trained in group-decisions methods gives the discussions so that it does not stray unnecessarily away from the topic and summarizes the principles or the explanations that reflect the consensus of the group in dealing with the problem. Conference helps identify and define the problem with the help of the leader. It is risk and can result to energies being frittered to unnecessary wrangles resulting to unfocused and worthless discussions.
4. Programmed and Computer-Aided Instruction
Programmed and Computer-Aided Instruction is a technique for instructing without the presence or intervention of a human instructor. It is based on certain behavioral laws particularly, reinforcement. Reinforcement means rewarding the correct response and consequences for the wrong one. One important feature of this it provides immediate feedback on whether the participant has answered correctly or not. It is a learner-centered method which presents subject matter to the trainee in small-sequential steps, requiring frequent responses and immediately informing if it is correct or otherwise. Participant who gets the correct response proceeds to the next level, if not he will start over again. The responses may be written, oral or manipulated manually. Instructions are carefully planned from the simplest to complex levels. This method have a major advantage because the trainees can adjust his learning to a pace and rate suitable for him.
