Cell Phones Ruins Our Life
Discovery of cell phones is one of the significant technological advancement in recent times. Their wide use has had a remarkable impact on physical, social, aesthetical, and economic and health aspects of life. We can’t disprove if cell phone is the thing that we are used regularly and some people argue their life is in those thing, they can’t far away from it, and this condition called the symptoms of nomophobia. We should be aware that the cell phones is actually giving bad impact on our lives such as distract us from important moments, influenced interpersonal relationships, and excessive use can take a toll on our health.
First of all, cell phones can distract us from important moments. To illustrate, cell phone ruining our ability to be present. The need to be constantly entertained and informed keeps us glued to our tiny screens. We had been forgotten the time that we have is limited, we are too busy to check the calls, texts, and emails which is actually can wait. Don’t give in to the need to know everything that’s going on. The problem is we were designed to be constantly connected to God, not information. Rather than waking up and checking the notification on cell phone first thing in the morning, consider a different approach. In the morning, we have a good opportunity to prepare our hearts for the day. Thus, it is clear for us the cell phone have been and are taking our important moments.
Cell phones is also influenced interpersonal relationships. I have an example about the cell phone can distract us from people. My high school’s friend named Debi Filanda is obsessed with his cell phone, he played cell phone more than 15 hours per day by accessing the Internet, social media, or just for streaming. He is also a gaming enthusiast (gamer’s freak) which is play online mobile game wherever he go. He forgot the most important thing in life, to have relationships with people around. He did not have a close friend, a relationship with his family was poor, and he just focused on the virtual world that is not obvious. I wonder why he did not really care of it, far from the relationship, and what if someday he needs a hand, is there anyone who wants to help him? Therefore it’s looks like brainwashing for us if we are too obsessed in cell phone and dismissively in relationships, at last it can distract us from peoples. We should use cell phones and love people, not love cell phones and use people.
