Cell Phones in College

Cell Phones should not be banned in colleges. Technological advancement should be used for the benefit of the public at large. Cell phones are a medium via which a student can communicate, research, etc. Cell phones are no longer just a means of communication but with the technological advancement the Internet facility helps in the student to research things as in when required.
Mobile phones are a means of communication. It helps in communicating a message from one person to another. It helps in STAYING CONNECTED. It should be seen that every technology has its risk of being misutilised. Yet we can’t dispense with the immense benefits it brings to us in our everyday life. It is no longer a luxury item like before. It is an orthodox thing to believe that the phones can be only used for misuse they have many uses too.
A person in India can have voting rights at the age of 18 then why is it that he/she cannot have the right to use their cellphones when they reach their college life.
In various colleges the cellphone has been made mandatory. When the Lectures are cancelled or timings are changed or when the classes are shifted to some other room numbers, the students are informed of the same using the facility of SMS that is provided on a cell phone.
A person traveling from South Delhi to Indrapuram everyday requires a cell phone to solve the problem of anxiety and endless wait of their parents.
All of the above is sufficient to state that mobile phones should not be banned in college as they are not for the comfort but a necessity for the student.
